THRIFTY THURSDAY: BUTTONS!

Feel free to call me a cheapskate. I've been known to turn down a $5 jar of buttons because I thought the price was too high. I almost did that just the other day, but...but...it was a quart jar, and the buttons weren't all white. In fact, there was quite a lot of color visible, and a vintage button or two, too. I put the jar in my cart. Still, I thought about putting it back. Several times.

I'm so glad I didn't! The photo at the top of the page is all the buttons, poured into a 13X9 cake pan. Here are pictures of some of the more special buttons:

I'm a happy camper!

By the way, did you notice that little green button kind of to the left, in the green bunch? It has three holes, something I've never seen, ever. There were a number of those. Have you ever seen buttons with three holes before?

Tomorrow is another day in Dundee, taking care of my six-year-old granddaughter. Sweet happiness. Time to go downstairs and decide which projects to take which materials for. Hmmm....

Hi Anitra...

Ohhh my...sooo many pretty buttons! I seen some really interesting buttons and I love all the beautiful color!!! They sure make pretty photos that's for sure! Hehe! Hmmm...I've never seen or heard of a three hole button...hope you are able to find something out about those and let us know!

Well dear lady, I just have to tell you that when seeing the photos of your pretty buttons brought back so many fond memories for me. I remember sitting on my Grandma's bed with her big metal can full of buttons. Pouring all those pretty buttons out onto the bed and going through each and every little button! I spent many a hour doing that! It's a wonderful and sweet memory to me!

Thank you for sharing your pretties with us! I hope that my note finds you and your family all doing well, my friend! You have fun with your granddaughter!!!

Warmest winter wishes,
Chari @Happy To Design

If you didn't have me with the Coffee Pot People, now you've got me forever! Ha-Ha. Obsessed with buttons. I have jars and jars and...well it is just obscene. (If you can't tell, my face is red). I have them to use, but if I use them, they will be gone.;-)

Some great buttons Anitra. I'd give a 5er for that. Good decision.
BTW, your blog button to Cindy Adkins site didn't work. Thought you'd want to know. I tried it 3 times.

Three hole buttons are from Hathaway shirts. Here is a link to a page about this.
